This antenna was bundled with my Baofeng UV-82 handheld VHF/UHF handset.
As expected it performs… well… See for yourself.


This is the test at the first design frequency. As the graph shows, SWR is abominable to say the least.


This is the test at the second design frequency. If possible, the SWR is even worse. Let's take a look at the bands that are interesting:

The 2m band looks crap, but it'll do in a pinch I guess.

The 70cm band is even worse… But hey, it was free with the handset right?

Conclusion: Crap piece of antenna. Only use when absolutely necessary.
